- Aleisha McDonell Added 2018-02-14★ ★ ★ ★ ★This is an incredible place to visit. Very hystoric and the beauty of the ruins is sheer beauty at it's best! Just entering the ruins of St. Raphael's will leave you in awe of it's incredible external views and it's easy to picture the interrior of the church FILLED with parishioners at 1 point before the church burnt. Our family goes for a visit to the ruins as often as possible and to say hello to family members who have passed and to stare at the ruins and imagine it's beauty when she stood tall and proud.

St. Raphael's Ruins National Historic Site
In 1970 a fire consumed the church of St. Raphael’s, one of the earliest Roman Catholic churches in Canada. The Ruins were declared a National Historic Site in 1999.
